Our Story

Friendly, Trustworthy & Reliable Service

In 1937, the National Cash Register Employees Credit Union was formed with seven Charter members each contributing $10. Today, we're Universal 1 Credit Union with assets over $400 million. We work hard to provide Beyond What You Expected service to over 50,000 members. Known for serving the greater Dayton, Ohio community, we've served members in various locations throughout the years. We continue to serve our Ohio communities, but as times change, we've embraced new technologies that allow us to serve members wherever they go - across the country and around the world. In our history, we've never lost sight of the credit union philosophy of People Helping People! We are honored to have the opportunity to continue making a difference in our community and in the lives of our members!
